DAVITS

Davit cranes are typically made of lightweight material and to provide a more portable and easy to install lifting device.  Most davits only require six inches of reinforced concrete or other suitable material. Ideal for long-distance lifts since the wire rope is captured on a winch drum.

A telescoping boom and an adjustable boom angle increase the flexibility of a davit crane.

Operation of a davit crane with a winch is easier than the typical chain hoist on a jib crane. This is because the winch is located on the back of the crane versus at the load. The boom can be rotated on the davit crane with a handle safely away from the load.

Davits are common for lifting over a roof edge, in/out of a pit, or any other application where long lift lengths are required and/or there is limited space for a lifting device.

PORTABLE

  • Capacities: up to 2000 lbs.
  • Various heights, lengths & capacities available

Portable davits are designed to be a versatile and reliable method for lifting heavy loads without the requirement of a permanently installed crane or a lifting device that consumes a lot of space.  With multiple connection adaptors available, a portable davit is ideal solution for temporary use needs in many different applications.

Designed to be installed by hand, without the need for other lifting equipment to get it into place.

STATIONARY

  • Capacities: up to 5,500 lbs.
  • Various heights, lengths & capacities available

Stationary davits are designed to be permanently installed.  Can be used with manual or electric winches.  Stationary davits are available with multiple mounting methods to meet the applications requirements.
