SPREADER BEAMS
Spreader beams and bars are typically steel beams with hook and shackle assemblies that
allow a single hoist to lift a piece of equipment up that has two or more lifting points spaced
apart. The spreader beam is designed for the spread of the load and has properly integrated rigging hardware to minimize the need for a copious amount of unique rigging
equipment.
Spreader beams are typically designed and made to the required size but there are standard
options available and models with adjustability.
In addition to standard spreader beams and bars, there are lifting beams made for specific
applications such as lifting rolls, bulk bags, coils, sheets, etc.
