ELECTRIC HOISTS

Electric hoists are used for lifting or lowering material. An electric motor and controller are utilized to lift, lower and accelerate or decelerate the speed of the hoist. Electric hoists are ideal for use in industrial production lines and machine shops where more frequent and faster lifting is required.  Control pendants can be hard wired to the hoist or there are wireless remote options.

ELECTRIC CHAIN HOISTS

  • Capacities: 1/8 ton to 5 ton+
  • Lift Lengths: 30ft+
  • Customized lift lengths

Electric chain hoists are the most common electric hoist type for “light” lifting applications, typically 2 ton and below.  They offer a fast and efficient way to lift heavy loads as frequently as needed and with a push of a button.  There are many options available for mounting, speeds and power supply.

 ELECTRIC WIRE ROPE HOISTS

  • Capacities: 2 ton to 15 ton+
  • Lift Lengths: 30ft+
  • Customized lift lengths

When capacity starts increasing above 2 ton it is smart to start looking at wire rope options vs. chain.  Wire rope is smaller and lighter weight than chain so at higher capacities the chain starts taking up too much room and adding too much weight to the hoist.  Wire rope offers a heavy duty and versatile option that keeps hoist size and cost to a minimum.
