Overhead Rigid Track

Engineered Overhead Rigid Track Fall Arrest

Solutions For Safety & Process Improvements

Overhead rigid track fall arrest systems protect workers at height in various industries indoors or outdoors. Depending upon the needs of your application, we will design, locally source, install and maintain your overhead rigid track fall protection system. Our standard fall arrest systems are cut to size and will most often work within the application’s needed support spans. If not, we have developed a process to ensure that the customization of your fall protection system meets your specific application and facility needs. Permanent fall arrest systems are critical for workers who are regularly exposed to fall hazards. All of our systems meet or exceed OSHA and ANSI requirements so you can rest assured that our systems will protect your most valuable asset: your employees. Explore the different systems below to learn more about how MHi Pros can design a fall arrest solution to meet your requirements.

Overhead Rigid Track Fall Arrest Solutions

Ceiling Mounted Monorail

Ceiling-Mounted Monorail Fall Arrest Track System is sold as individual components, a standard assembly kit, or as a custom engineered system. This fall protection system provides a straight rigid fall protection track on a fixed path for many applications, such as truck loading and unloading, vehicle or machinery maintenance, and manufacturing. Because a ceiling-mounted monorail system does not require support columns, the system does not take floor space, which means more space for your workers. In fact, ceiling-mounted monorail systems can easily protect workers in tall ceiling height applications. By using existing support steel, a ceiling-mounted monorail system can easily support long runs and curves within the system design.

Ceiling Mounted Traveling Bridge

Ceiling Mounted Traveling Bridge Fall Arrest Track System is ideal for larger maintenance applications, such as aircraft hangars, aircraft production facilities, transportation vehicle maintenance facilities, and industrial applications. The Traveling Bridge system is sold as both a standard assembly kit and as a custom engineered system. This system can be ceiling mounted to a building’s existing supports or bolted to the floor with freestanding support columns and headers. This solution provides unencumbered movement by allowing the trolley to follow the user in any direction (360 degrees) and minimizes swing fall hazards when used with a self-retracting lanyard (SRL).

Cantilevered Overhead Fall Protection Track

Cantilevered Fall Protection Track, also known as an Inverted-L Anchor Track System, provides fall protection to workers who need to access the tops of vehicles, railcars, and structures. Perfect for the transportation industry, this system utilizes concrete foundations to cover long spans. By offering custom cantilevers or support structures, this system provides an easy and reliable way for workers to protect themselves while working at height.

Free Standing Overhead Fall Protection Monorail

Free Standing Overhead Fall Protection Monorails, also known as Inverted-U Anchor Track Systems, protects the workers who are busy performing maintenance or inspections on transportation equipment or machinery. This system may require concrete foundations, but they are smaller than the foundations required by our other freestanding systems (Inverted-L and T-Frame). Plus, this permanent system provides long spans of fall protection in areas that don’t have existing overhead structures to mount a system.

Free Standing T-Frame Overhead Fall Protection Monorail

Overhead T-Frame Fall Protection Track System provides fall protection that allows workers to perform maintenance and service tasks on two vehicles at the same time. Ideal for the transportation industry, the T-Frame system can cover long spans by using required concrete foundations. Double your protection and maximize your workspace by using the T-Frame Track System design.

Single Post Suspension Overhead Fall Protection Track

Single Post Suspension Track System accommodates almost any application with trolley-hook heights and track lengths at virtually any height or length. Available as a single post, multiple post, or twin bay system (tracks on both sides of posts), this system requires fewer foundations and use 60 percent less steel over conventional system designs. By using less steel and fewer foundations, we can provide buyers with the longest spans for the least amount of money.

Freestanding Swing Arm Overhead Fall Protection Track

Freestanding Swing Arm Track System provides a versatile fall protection solution for work areas that require circular coverage. This system can be foundation mounted (freestanding) and has 360-degree arm rotation. The Swing Arm can swing out as needed and swing back out of the way of overhead cranes. Both the Swing Arm and its trolley follow the worker, keeping the trolley positioned directly above the user at all times—minimizing swing fall hazards. Standard fall protection spans range from five to 30 feet with standard system weights between 530 and 4,665 pounds.

Column-Mounted Swing Arm Overhead Fall Protection Track

Column-Mounted Swing Arm Track System provides a versatile fall protection solution for work areas that require semi-circular coverage. This system can be mounted to existing wall columns (column-mounted) and has a 180-degree arm rotation. The Swing Arm can swing out as needed and swing back out of the way of overhead cranes. Both the Swing Arm and its trolley follow the worker, keeping the trolley positioned directly above the user at all times—minimizing swing fall hazards. Standard fall protection spans range from six to 30 feet with standard system weights between 200 and 2,285 pounds.

Column-Mounted Fold-Away Overhead Fall Protection Track

Column-Mounted Fold-Away Track Systems work perfectly for facilities that need a fall arrest solution that folds up and out of the way. This system is often used in facilities where workers need protection under overhead cranes, floor space is unusable, or maintenance is occurring in narrow bays with no workable ceilings. When the arms are fully extended, the system provides workers with a fixed path of rigid track fall protection. Users can travel up to 30 degrees off-center of the track. When not in use, the track and its arms can be folded against their support columns (e.g., the wall), leaving room for large overhead cranes. Locking mechanisms keep the system locked in place during use or storage. Track lengths of 40 feet or more allow multiple work areas to be covered by a single fall protection system.
