• Spanco Freestanding Jib Cranes install almost anywhere, including outside. These foundation-mounted, freestanding jibs offer higher capacities, longer spans, and greater rotation than our wall-mounted jib cranes:

Features of Spanco 100 Series Freestanding Jib Cranes—Base-Plate Mounted

    • Easiest to install
    • Base plate is secured by anchor bolts to a prescribed reinforced concrete foundation
    • The pipe mast’s connection to the hexagonal base plate is reinforced with six equally-spaced gussets
  • Spanco Freestanding Jib Cranes install almost anywhere, including outside. These foundation-mounted, freestanding jibs offer higher capacities, longer spans, and greater rotation than our wall-mounted jib cranes:

Features of Spanco 101 Series Freestanding Jib Cranes—Foundation Mounted

    • No gussets, freeing up area at foot of crane’s mast
    • Square steel plate comes welded to bottom of mast
    • The plate positions and plumbs the mast by anchoring to the first-pour concrete footing
    • The second pour supports the mast

Features of Spanco 102 Series Freestanding Jib Cranes—Sleeve-Insert Mounted

    • Allows for crane relocation without damaging the mast
    • No gussets, freeing up area at foot of crane’s mast
    • Sleeve is welded to square steel plate; the plate positions and plumbs the sleeve by anchoring to the first-pour concrete footing
    • The second pour supports the sleeve
The mast is placed into the sleeve, leveled by wedges, and welded in place
  • Spanco Monorail Cranes are ideal for production processes that require lifting and moving products along a fixed path, such as painting processes, moving raw materials to workstations, or warehouse-to-warehouse transfer. Freestanding monorails are ideal when:
    • The building structure cannot support a crane
    • Ceilings have other obstructions (air ducts, skylights, overhead storage)
    • You need a semi-permanent solution due to rental agreements
    • You want a customized width and length
    • You want to use a floor-mounted monorail in conjunction with a ceiling-mounted system
  • LOOKING TO STREAMLINE YOUR MANUFACTURING PROCESS? Spanco Freestanding Workstation Bridge Cranes are the perfect ergonomic solution for extending lifting coverage and providing full access of movement. Our Freestanding Workstation Bridge Cranes can replace multiple cranes with one fluid system for improved efficiency and productivity.   Spanco Freestanding Workstation Bridge Cranes provide highly-effective cost-efficient lifting and moving solutions, especially when:
    • You need overhead crane coverage for a large area––up to 40-feet wide and with unlimited length. With interconnected parallel systems, you can cover your entire building
    • You rent or lease your building. Our bolt-together freestanding systems can be readily relocated, either within your plant or in an entirely new location
    • You want to be able to easily expand or modify your overhead crane system
    • Your roof support is inadequate for a Spanco Ceiling-Mounted Bridge Crane. Typically, a standard six-inch thick reinforced concrete floor is all that’s needed for our freestanding workstation bridge cranes for non-seismic applications
  • Spanco Wall-Mounted Jib Cranes require no floor space or foundations. They quickly swing out of the way of overhead cranes.

Features of Spanco 300 Series Wall-Mounted Jib Cranes—Cantilever

    • Our Wall-Mounted Cantilever 300 Series cranes offer the greatest amount of clearance, both under and above the boom
    • Full-cantilever design
    • All swivel connections have bronze bushings and grease fittings to ease rotation, promoting long life and low maintenance
  • Spanco Headerless Workstation Bridge Cranes and Monorails are high-quality ergonomic material handling solutions, especially when you need a system in your garage, barn, or shop:
    • To move equipment and parts on a vehicle, such as an engine, a body of a race car, or a chassis for restoration.
    • To work on outdoor equipment, such as a motorcycle, boat, tractor, snowmobile, golf cart, or four-wheeler.
    • To lift anything up to 1,000 pounds safely by yourself.
    • Tripod Capacities: 1 or 2 tons
    • Height (to eyebolt): from 5’ 2” to 13’ 9”
    • Tripod Construction: steel or aluminum
Spanco tripod cranes can be used on all hard surfaces using our standard aluminum flat feet. You can also order your tripod with mud feet for soft ground. The mud feet have integral spikes to entrench the legs firmly and a wide flange to prevent the legs from sinking into the ground. For maximum flexibility on all surfaces, order both types of tripod feet.
  • Crane Rotation: 360° Capacities: up to 5 tons on standard models; up to 10 tons custom Spans: up to 20’ standard; up to 40’ custom Heights: up to 20’ standard; up to 40’ custom (distance from floor to overhead support) Spanco Mast-Style Jib Cranes provide 360-degree crane rotation and can be rotated manually or by power. They bolt to floor and building’s steel beams, eliminating costly special foundations. The full cantilever 200-Series features a cantilevered boom mounted at the top of the mast to provide maximum clearance.

The drop cantilever 201-Series uses side-plate connections to permanently “drop mount” the boom at any specified height on the mast. Drop cantilever booms allow for clearance from overhead obstructions that are located below the top of the mast.
