Features of Spanco 500-Series Freestanding Workstation Jib Cranes

    • 360-degree rotation
    • Standard crane heights to 12 feet (floor to bottom of boom); taller designs available
    • Mounting plates attach with anchor bolts to standard 6-inch reinforced concrete floor, or to new foundations for special load conditions
    • Smaller capacity cranes use square mounting plates with welded gussets connected to the mast; each plate uses four anchor bolts
    • Larger capacity cranes use hexagonal mounting plates with welded gussets connected to the mast; each plate uses 6 anchor bolts
  • Spanco Wall-Traveling Jib Cranes are cost-effective, custom-engineered solutions that are specifically designed to meet your production needs and building specifications. You can cover an entire series of workstations using one agile wall-traveling crane for virtually the entire length of your building.

Features of Spanco Wall-Traveling Jib Cranes

    • Jib boom is fabricated from standard “S” beam with vertical angle truss to reduce deflection; jib boom and truss bolt onto the back frame—no welding needed
    • End trucks are constructed from channel beam frames and resist twisting; the end trucks are jig-fixed for optimal fit and travel. End trucks bolt onto the jib’s back frame
    • Top-running end trucks include double-flanged crane wheels made from forged steel for long service life
    • Crane drive has an electric motor with worm gear reducer
    • Two-speed controls include mainline contactor, control transformer, inverter acceleration control, and fuses in NEMA 3R, 4, or 12 enclosures
    • Variable frequency drives (VFDs) for multi-speed operation
  • 401 Series Wall-Mounted Articulating Jib Cranes

    • Offers 360-degree rotation for outer arm and 180-degree rotation for inner arm
    • Perfect for individual workstations where each worker needs complete access to one jib crane
    • Outstanding headroom permits installation in tight locations and crowded shops
    • Provides a clear work area with no floor obstructions and requires minimal overhead clearance for installation
Spanco Articulating Jib Cranes support nearly any type of manipulator, balancer, or hoist. 401-Series Jib Cranes require no floor space and no special foundations. They quickly fold out of the way of large overhead cranes.

  • Spanco Wall-Mounted Jib Cranes require no floor space or foundations. They quickly swing out of the way of overhead cranes.

Features of Spanco 301 Series Wall-Mounted Jib Cranes—Tie-Rod Supported

    • Our most economical cranes, the Tie-Rod 301 Series, has no support structure under the boom, so the trolley hoists can travel virtually the full length of the boom
    • Wall bracket with tie-rod supported boom
    • Design uses a standard I-beam and single tie rod to eliminate off-center loading problems
    • Top and bottom wall brackets utilize a formed steel channel, with two bronze bushings, bronze thrust washers, and formed tie-rod clevises
    • All bolted connections are in double shear
    • All swivel connections have bronze bushings and grease fittings to ease rotation, promoting long life and low maintenance
  • No matter your specific requirements for lift and hoisting, our exceptional range of superior lifting equipment ensures comprehensive coverage. Explore a diverse selection of stationary cranes designed to facilitate your work, providing increased efficiency, ease, and safety. Stationary cranes excel in accommodating extended-length booms, enabling maximum reach for larger loads. With lifting capacities of up to 5,500 lbs (2,500 kg) and the capability of 360-degree rotation, these cranes offer exceptional performance. You have the flexibility to choose from various operation options, including manual, drill-drive, powered, hydraulic, or pneumatic, tailored to your preferences.
  • Excellent Alternative to Expensive Overhead Cranes

Spanco Semi Gantry Cranes offer high capacity, high height, economical lifting solutions when:
    • Your plant has been “making do” with multiple forklifts; coordinating too many lifts, especially on heavy or very long loads, is unsafe, inefficient, and time consuming
    • Your lifting volume is moderate and can’t justify more expensive, permanently installed cranes
    • You need an economical, versatile lifting system to supplement your existing overhead cranes
Our single leg crane (also known as a “semi gantry”) maximizes your space utilization. One leg end moves over the floor on wheels while the other end runs overhead on a wall-mounted I-beam using one of two end truck designs:
Top-Running End Truck: The end of the gantry’s I-beam mounts onto an end truck that travels on the top side of an overhead runway beam
  • Single girder top running bridge cranes allow for a load capacity up to 20 tons and spans up to 120 feet.
  • Spanco Workstation Jib Cranes offer easy, ergonomic lifting and transfer of repetitive loads. These small, nimble cranes are faster than motorized jibs and are very affordable. 500-Series Portable Base Jib Cranes have all the features of the 500-Series Freestanding Jib Cranes, except with portable counterweight bases. With their forklift pockets, they’re ideal for facilities needing flexible workflows and/or modular workstations. Spanco Workstation Jib Cranes feature our smooth-running enclosed track and trolleys. The self-cleaning enclosed track protects the trolley from dust, debris, and other environmental factors and ensures accurate trolley wheel alignment to minimize friction and wear.

  • Overhead bridge cranes are permanently installed cranes within a facility that are used to lift and move material from one location to another in a safe and efficient manner. The bridge crane provides lift coverage within its full dimensional envelope which typically prevents the need for multiple lifting devices or multiple transfers. Overhead bridge cranes are typically designed and manufactured per application so that they can meet the exact needs of the user and fit within the facility’s dimensional parameters.
    • LED display

  • Spanco PF-Series Gantry Cranes offer high capacity, high height, long span, and economical lifting solutions.
These strong, portal frame (PF) cranes can be ideal if:
    • Your building can’t support freestanding cranes or ceiling-mounted cranes; PF-Gantry Cranes are self-supporting and travel directly on the floor
    • Your lifting volume is moderate and can’t justify more expensive, permanently installed cranes
    • You need an economical, versatile lifting system to supplement your existing overhead cranes
    • You rent your facility; these gantries can be relocated in the future
    • Your plant has been “making do” with multiple forklifts; coordinating too many lifts, especially on heavy or very long loads, is unsafe, inefficient, and time consuming
    • Can’t fit a double leg PF crane into your plant due to narrow bays or crowded machinery? Check out our Spanco Single Leg Gantry Cranes.

  • Spanco Monorail Cranes are ideal for production processes that require lifting and moving products along a fixed path, such as painting processes, moving raw materials to workstations, or warehouse-to-warehouse transfer. Freestanding monorails are ideal when:
    • The building structure cannot support a crane
    • Ceilings have other obstructions (air ducts, skylights, overhead storage)
    • You need a semi-permanent solution due to rental agreements
    • You want a customized width and length
    • You want to use a floor-mounted monorail in conjunction with a ceiling-mounted system
  • Spanco Freestanding Jib Cranes install almost anywhere, including outside. These foundation-mounted, freestanding jibs offer higher capacities, longer spans, and greater rotation than our wall-mounted jib cranes:
